Description
A crawler generator differs from a portable generator as the main power supply is generally Batteries but thanks to the proper adapter (CF3) they can be used onshore for occasional operations. A Crawler generator is built to resist to extreme environment like heat in Pipelines. Crawler generators are controleld by a Chopper and mounted on various type of Mechanical carriages also available through Balteau.
GFC300C Generator for crawlers
The generator is driven by an electronic circuit board (the power components are cooled by forced air). Both components can be readily installed in the crawler body and connected to its general circuitry. Several DC voltages within the range 72 130 can be selected and applied to the generator.
An exclusive feature allows generator to operate at constant kV output while tube mA decreases with battery discharge with the CF3 control unit. This feature greatly improves crawler endurance by maintaining optimum exposure time regardless of battery discharge level. This is achieved as a result of the time being continuously readjusted according to the mA value.
CF3 Control unit for crawlers
A generator needs a power supply for working. With a Crawler, this power supply is brought by a battery set embarked in the mechanical carrier. The CF3 is the power converter (Chopper) between the batteries and the Generator. However the CF3 is also an intelligent regulator which will be able to give out of your batteries the most stable and constant output all along your exposures. Our Chopper CF3 is the result of the technology evolution that is applicable in electronics nowadays.
Based on the well known CF1 that has equipped several generations of Crawlers around the globe, this new model has also been developed to be used with the major brands of Crawler Manufactures

GCP180C
The generator is driven by an electronic circuit board (the power components are cooled by forced air). Components can be readily installed in the crawler body and connected to its general circuitry.
An exclusive feature allows generator to operate at constant kV and mA no matter of the battery cycles. This feature ensures a stable dose output and guarantees image quality consistency all along the exposure time. This specific process, is also improving the operating possibilities of the battery pack. Indeed much more exposures can be taken. This process improves the battery lifetime thanks to a better management of discharge cycles.
