BALTOGRAPH Series

Mobile or Stationary High power DCHF generators. 

These units are existing in Monopolar or Bipolar units. All units are modular and evolutive. Units are driven by the LS1 control unit and can use different tubes for different applications. All units are Constant potential using a very high switching frequency for a very low ripple. From 5kV to 450 kv, 0,1 to 40 mA these units are ideal for production or heavy load work.

XSD450 - 4 kW DCHF generator

The top of the series in terms of power and penetration, the XSD450 is a bipolar unit of the BALTOGRAPH series. Made up of two 225 kV unit (Cathodic + Anodic), it uses the same modules as the monopolar unit and can consist in an upgrade of an existing monopolar unit from the XSD series.

Dedicated to heavy walled applications that deserve both a high power and a high penetration, this unit makes no compromises to quality. With our very stable HV generator block, the output will fit into any of your applications and detectors types. Equipped with the same features as all the BALTOGRAPH series, this unit is extremely versatile and robust. Various tubeheads can be connected and our specialists will help you in defining which is the most adapted to your applications. 

Combined to our computerized control panel (LS1 series), it can be integrated in any environment, can replace the majority of existing units without big changes or any, or can be installed as a single end unit.

LS1 Digital Control unit for XSD and XMD series

LS1 is a micro processor based unit able to drive any generators of the BALTOGRAPH® series. From 100kv units to 450 kV, stationary or mobile, the same control unit can be used and will automatically recognize, Units and tubes connected.


An innovative and evolutive embedded software made by Radiographers with downloadable additional features, is the brain of all operations and thanks to the central Ball navigator®, operations and selections are becoming intuitive and easy. The Large TFT colour screen enclosed into the front cover is foldable and well readable by changing the inclination to your convenience. Working status can visually be checked at all time as the main indicators are outside of the cover area.

Very compact and lightweight the LS1 is designed to be used with either a mobile or stationary unit. A system version also exists to be integrated in cabinets and electrical enclosures .

XSD160 - 3kW DCHF generator

Introducing the BALTOGRAPH series, the XSD160 is the first unit of a complete set based on a solid insulation HV module. This technology not only frees you from very specialized service operations but also guarantees that you will be able to get the most out of your machine at any time.

The XSD160 is a very powerful, stable and sturdy unit that can be used as a mobile unit or a fixed one in any customized systems for production. A very high duty cycle and a wide variety of tubehead is available, therefore the unit can be easily turned into a Panoramic or a Directional X-Ray equipment with different focal spot sizes and can drive up to two individual filaments.

Combined to our computerized control panel (LS1) or to a dedicated RS232 interface through an interfacing box, it can be integrated in all kind of environment, can replace the majority of existing units without big changes or any, or can be installed as a single end unit, stationary or mobile (XMD).

XMD160 - 3kW Mobile generator 600mm W

The XMD160 gives the flexibility of a mobile unit and and is as powerful, stable and sturdy as a stationary unit. It gives you more flexibility than a portable unit in places where room for the tubehead is reduced.

The XMD160 is the mobile version of the XSD160, first unit of a complete set based on a solid insulation HV module. This technology not only frees you from very specialized service operations but also guarantees that you will be able to get the most out of your machine at any time.

XSD225 - 3 kW DCHF generator

The XSD225 is probably the best compromise in power and size for medium thickness applications. Able to be operated as down as 5 kV where you will use it for composite and light alloys applications, at full power, you will be able to get radiographies of medium walled steel castings with incomparable qualities.

The XSD225 is a very powerful, stable and sturdy unit that can be used as a mobile unit or a fixed one in any customized systems for production. The very high output compared to old half waved unit is also making it the ideal replacement of some monopolar units. A very large variety of tubeheads is available and the unit can then be easily turned into a Panoramic or a Directional X-ray equipment with different focal spot sizes.

Combined to our computerized control panel (LS1 series), it can be integrated in any environment, can replace the majority of existing units without big changes or any, or can be installed as a single end unit, stationary or mobile (XMD).

XSD320 - 4kW DCHF generator

XSD320 is the first bipolar unit of the BALTOGRAPH series. Made up of two 160 kV unit (Cathodic + Anodic), it uses the same modules as the monopolar unit and can consist in an upgrade of an existing monopolar unit from the XSD series.

This unit is mostly designed for high absorbing material where a very high or very reduced exposure time is necessary. With a continuous adjustment range from 5 to 320 kV, this unit can drive loads of up to 30 mA through the various tubeheads that are available.

Extremely simple to install and to connect, it could also be used as a mobile unit for specific applications.

Combined to our computerized control panel (LS1 series), it can be integrated in any environment, can replace the majority of existing units without big changes or any, or can be installed as a single end unit.

TSC160 - Panoramic X Ray tube for XSD & XMD

The TSC160 is the Panoramic version of the Directional universal Monopolar tube for light alloys, composites or small to medium steel thicknesses.
With a power of up to 1 kW and a diameter of 100 mm this is the ideal candidate for tank inspections or hollow components with small inner diameters.

The tube shielding is internal and reduces the radiation leakage to less than 1 R/h @ 1 m as required by International standards. In and out fluid inlets are mounted with universal connectors while the HV plug cone is a R24.

TSD160/0 - Directional tube for XSD & XMD

The TSD160/0 is a universal Monopolar tube for light alloys, composites or small to medium steel thicknesses. Due to the combination of a large and a small focus into the same tube, the tube is ideal for all purposes applications where either power or definitions may be required. The large focus allows you to drive up to 3 kW power for applications where thicknesses are high or material is highly absorbent. The small focus will be preferred for applications with magnification of on very light material and thicknesses or with a radioscopic application.

The outside diameter of the housing is barely 100 mm which will ensure that the tube can be inserted even in tiny spaces. The tube shielding is internal and reduces the radiation leakage to less than 1 R/h @ 1 m as required by International standards. In and out fluid inlets are mounted with universal connectors while the HV plug cone is a R24.

TSD160/1 - Directional fine focus tube for XSD &

The TSD160/1 is a universal Monopolar tube for light alloys, composites or small steel thicknesses. This tube is a compromise between a very fine and a fine focus application and is generally selected by users whose applications are not requiring a very high dose output either because distances to detector are generally short or because materials are not thick or very dense. This tube is perfectly adapted to Radioscopy applications or low power generators (< 1,6 kW).

TSD160/3 - Directional tube dual small filament

The TSD160/3 is a Monopolar tube designed for radioscopy installations or for applications where working cycle is extremely important. Indeed, the tube is mounted with two identical small size filaments adapted to the radiography or radioscopy of light alloys, composites or small steel thicknesses. One filament can be considered as a spare of the other one and due to the fact that sizes are identical, can replace a broken filament without the need of
re-qualification of the technique or a change in the parameters.

TSD225/0 - High power dual filament directional

The TSD225/0 is the highest capacity Monopolar tube of our range. It is designed to be used on light alloys, composites or medium steel thicknesses. One large filament can be used for high power applications (3 kW) and high dose demanding applications while the small focus will be ideal for high definition radiographies at reduced distances. The TSD225/0 is generally highly sufficient for the majority of standard industrial applications and is giving the advantage of still being Monopolar.

Slightly larger than a 160 tube, the housing diameter is only 124 mm which will ensure that the tube can still be inserted even in tiny spaces. The tube shielding is internal and reduces the radiation leakage to less than 1 R/h @ 1 m as required by International standards. In and out fluid inlets are mounted with universal connectors while the HV plug cone is a R24.

TSD225/1 - Dual filament all purpose directional

The TSD225/1 is a compromise between high and low power at 225 kV which allows you a wide range of applications from light alloys and plastics to medium walled steel products. Focal spot sizes are offering the possibility to operate either in standard radiography or in radioscopic applications. The small size filament is also allowing applications with slight magnifications. The TSD225/1 is generally highly sufficient for the majority of standard industrial applications and is giving the advantage of still being Monopolar.

TSD320/0 - General purposes dual filament direct.

The TSD320/0 is the first tube of the Bipolar range. This tube has a big amount of power available and is designed for medium to heavy walled steel thicknesses applications. Driven by the adequate generator it can also be used in light alloys and composites materials. With a power of up to 4 kW on the large filament this tube helps you reducing your film exposures durations or achieve superior thicknesses in reduced times. The second filament will provide an alternative for higher definition radiographies or radioscopic applications.

The tube shielding is internal and reduces the radiation leakage to less than 1 R/h @ 1 m as required by International standards. In and out fluid inlets are mounted with universal connectors while the two HV plug cones are R24.

TSD320/2 - Small focus dual directional

The TSD320/2 is a compromise of power and small size filaments. If the need of power is lower than 1,6 kW, this tube will help you gaining definition in medium to heavy walled applications. Equipped with two independent filaments, this tube allows you to drive up to 1,6 kW on the large filament while the small size filament will give you enough power to perform the majority of higher definition applications even at 320 kV.

The tube shielding is internal and reduces the radiation leakage to less than 1 R/h @ 1 m as required by International standards. In and out fluid inlets are mounted with universal connectors while the two HV plug cones are R24.

TSD420/0 - All applications with power

The TSD420/0 is a powerful Bipolar tube designed for heavy walled thicknesses or highly absorbing materials. The 420 kV is generally chosen against a 450 kV where installations and shielding are not allowing higher values. With a dual filament technology, the tube can deliver up to 4 kW on its larger filament. A second smaller filament will give the possibility to achieve better definition on smaller thicknesses or even to use the tube with non film techniques where dose requirements can be less.
