The new Cygnus Flooded Member Detector (FMD) is a complete ultrasonic system specifically designed for checking whether a member/pipe is flooded. The FMD is designed for subsea inspection and comprises three parts; the probe/probe handler, subsea electronics unit and reporting software. The FMD probe handling solution self aligns, ensuring correct contact with the member, even when approached from an angle. The system also has a contact sensor which will not allow a test to be taken unless the probe is correctly aligned. A simple DRY/FLOODED result is sent to the reporting software with results logged at the surface. The Cygnus FMD system is easy to use, cost-effective, rugged and reliable. Available in either high grade acetal or stainless steel for the harshest environments the FMD system is designed to the highest specifications and is supported by a three year warranty. -
The Top Side Repeater is a small display unit that can be used to display the thickness measurements sent from the ROV gauge to the surface.
